New Moon Premium King Prawn Crackers are made from a traditional recipe since 1950 with premium quality wild caught king prawns which provide you with an explosion of flavor with every bite. Prawn crackers are made by first mixing king prawns with other ingredients. Next, the mixture is rolled out, steamed, sliced and sun-dried. In the traditional way, to achieve maximum crispiness, raw keropoks are usually sundried first before frying so as to eliminate the moisture. Once dried, they are deep-fried in oil (which must be at high heat before frying). Within a few seconds, they will expand from thumb-sized semi-transparent chips to white fluffy crackers.
